Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco

While I’ve been to at least 12, this is the first year that I’m missing Folsom Street Fair in San Francisco in 6 years.  The first one I went to was in 1995 so I’ve seen it change over the years. I sort of compare it nowadays to a Lady Gaga concert with the attendees (usually) in well planned costumes for the day. Which, I won’t lie, is sort of sad to me because I remember attending when it was a mostly gay dressed in head to toe gear like everyone else. These days, it’s it’s now become a true freak show.   And, I mean that in a GOOD way.   It truly is a Fetish Event for *everyone*.  Gay, straight, bi, transgender… everyone.

If you’re into Podcasts, I recommend you check out the No Safeword Podcast Episode #39  where their guest is Demitri , the producer of Folsom Street Events including Dore Alley Fair (aka “Up Your Alley”). In the podcast, they discuss Dore Alley Fair vs Folsom Street Fair giving insight on how both events work.  If you are looking to attend an event in San Francisco that it is a primarily Gay Leather/Rubber Fetish event, then Dore Alley is what you should attend.  But, if you want a wild and crazy street party in San Francisco… then Folsom is your game.

Or… do both and form your own opinion which I would LOVE to hear!    I love kinky street fair stories.  Man, do I have a few of my own…

I have no doubt everyone is having a blast today and I very much look forward to seeing all the photos and videos!  Here are some of the… ahem… sexier photos (IMHO) from Folsom’s past.

(I’m also loving how many Harness Pics are showing up on the Scruff app’s global grid today!)
