POW! The Superhero Fetish Meetup

Below is a post and major announcement from Pablo Greene, author of the kinky superhero book series How to Kill a Superhero.

Sometimes, I have felt like kinksters don’t take superhero fetish seriously.

But I don’t like to think on negative terms. I like to take action instead of complaining.

Four years ago, I started organizing the Superhero Fetish Meetups at events like Mid-Atlantic Leather (MAL), International Mr. Leather (IML), and even New York Comic Con.

At first, just a few people turned out to meet up. They wore their best cosplays, they laughed, took photos together. Some even hooked up or fell in love.

And over the years, it grew, and grew. Other members of the community continued to create superhero meetups I couldn’t attend, and I encouraged them to do it, to keep the energy of the movement going. Brian Bolt Donner was one of these key organizers. Thanks to his efforts and energy, he also  created superhero fetish gatherings, dance parties and other events that generated community. This work would not be possible without him.

POW-TEASER

I am happy to announce that IML has made the Superhero Fetish Meetup an official event in its lineup. It’s going to be LIT.

POW! The Superhero Fetish Meetup

Description of the event on IML’s web site:

May 28, 2-4 p.m., in the Congress Hotel Lobby at International Mr. Leather.

  • Heroes and villains will face off at POW!, the dynamic event that unites the superhero fetish community at IML. Gear yourself up in superhero spandex, rubber or leather (as well as scales, robot armor, or fur) and come meet friendly kinksters who dig tights, capes and superpowers. This is a judgment-free event, and all levels of cosplay are appreciated, including capes.

Chaac is a superhero from the Mayan jungles, and he draws his power from the god of storms and rain. I’ll be writing about him soon in the next How to Kill a Superhero book. In the meantime, you can get Chaac on a tee. This shirt is printed on Bella and Canvas’ tri-blend T-Shirt and it’s made by 13SC Clothing”.

**WIN** this Superhero Wrestling Singlet

Over at his web site howtokillasuperhero.net, Author Pablo Greene is running a promotion to launch his new wrestling singlets and tees from his book series How to Kill a Superhero. If you’re not familiar with the books, they are the perfect blend of BDSM and superhero fetish. These four novels cover the world of superhero fetish through the story of Roland, a bondage aficionado who acquires supernatural powers from an occult book. Books 1 and 2 are out on paperback and Kindle already, and book 3, entitled Transformation Fetish, launches this fall. These books don’t hold back on the bondage, but the story is dark and psychologically intense. Great stuff.

To celebrate Pablo Greene’s kinky world of lycra, hard bondage and superhero lit, the How to Kill a Superhero site has kicked off a new giveaway. They are giving away one of their brand new How to Kill a Superhero wrestling singlets, pictured below.

The shoot does not require you to be nude, but you will be expected to go shirtless and be put into compromising situations as a rope bottom (and we hope you fucking love it). The theme is superheroes. We prefer working with guys in the leather and kink community, so if you’re on Recon or another site and you know someone who might be interested, please spread the word and tell your friends.

Mid-Atlantic Leather in Washington DC is renowned as one of the best leather and kink events in the U.S., and with reason. It brings together wonderful people from all parts of the world, it’s intimate yet large enough to feel big, and it’s hot as fuck! Here’s a gallery of some of the sights we caught this year. This year Pablo Greene organized MAL‘s first Superhero Fetish meetup, and we have included those photos, too.

If you got a chance to meet author Pablo Greene at this year’s IML in Chicago, you probably learned about his superhero-fetish book series How to Kill a Superhero. The second book, World Without Daylight, just came out, and it’s pushing the envelope again with superhero fetish, hot bondage scenes, and a story arc that is epic. These books don’t hold back on the fetish and BDSM, and according to one reviewer, ” If you’ve been looking for an actual story that captures true understanding of the BDSM community, this is it!”
These books are filthy, pervy, and fun, and if you get a chance to meet Pablo at his public appearances, you know that he’s always ready to suit up with you. His next event is the World Without Daylight Launch Party in NYC July 5.

Pervy origins, pervy fetishes

Today we’re excited to share with you the first chapter of How to Kill a Superhero: A Gay Bondage Manual,  arrives OCTOBER 8 from Beast Within Books.

CHAPTER 1
MY SUPERHERO FETISH

My name is Roland.

On the night of my twenty-eighth birthday, my friends took me out for dinner. We shared heaps of enchiladas, frosty bottles of beer, limes on the rim. I tossed back a couple of shots. I blew out candles on a red velvet cake, and our waitress led all of us at the table in an off-key rendition of the happy birthday song. Earlier, I had left my car at home on purpose, because I knew I would have a beer or two at the restaurant. By the time we paid the bill, I had drunk seven bottles and downed four shots. I walked home from dinner alone, comforted by the false safety provided by my cell phone and the gauzy softness of my whiskey buzz.

It was only midnight, but my neighborhood was a quiet one at this hour. As I walked, I heard nothing more than my own steps as they hit the sidewalk. As I turned the corner onto my street, a person jumped on me from behind. Quick jabs to my kidneys brought me down to my knees, and something sharp punctured my skin…”

How to Kill A Superhero: A Gay Bondage Manual

bbHow to Kill A Superhero: A Gay Bondage Manual

By Pablo Greene

Music roars inside Fortress nightclub. Roland dances into the night, hoping to find a brief escape from his professional life at Kansas City’s Arkum Hospital. That night he bumps into Rick, a  jet-setting executive who shares his fetish for superheroes in bondage. Together Roland and Rick travel into a world of masks, rope, and sexual slavery. That is, until monstrous transformations start raging through Roland’s body and mind, and their game of superhero fetish takes a very bad turn. Time is running out, and Roland is losing control. The only thing that can help him understand the danger he faces is a rare book that can reveal the mysteries that lie beyond the borders of pain and bondage.

How to Kill a Superhero dares to visit the darkest corners of the superhero genre, where horror, science fiction, and sex converge. This tale takes readers on a ride into the erotic they won’t soon forget.
