Folsom East in NYC

I went to Folsom East in NYC back in 2003. At that time, I believe it was located near the old L.U.R.E. bar which is now long gone sadly. Now, Folsom East is located on West 28th near the NYC Eagle. And 10x more fun now.

I arrived on early Saturday with boy Mike to catch the 2pm show of Young Frankenstein (fun!) with plans to go to the Leather Pride Night at SPLASH which was a big charity function to support many important groups and organizations such as the Leather Archives & Museum. While I didn’t bid on any of the items up for auction such as the Steel Bondage Chair or Straitjacket, it was a fun night. I’d do it again. Especially to see the reactions of the straight bartenders downstairs when my boy in a hood asked them for a Vodka Tonic.

Folsom East was great. I wore full rubber since I had it was going to rain. And I had boy Mike dress in his sexy green and white wrestling singlet, added a bishop’s head harness with a breathing tube, the intense rubber bondage mitts and then lead him around on a leash. Something he’d been wanting to do for a long while in public. And something I enjoyed, too. I answered questions of curious spectators since boy Mike was having “vocal difficulties“. Those that touched the boy without permission were promptly “whacked” with the breathing tube… or sprayed with water from it . One guy, a Mr Ebony title holder(?), got all pissy when he got wet. He was promptly reminded by his friends that he has been covered in worse/better fluids.

I also met a great deal of readers of this blog (Hi Lolita!). It was suggested to me many times that I need to turn this blog into something much bigger. Sell things, get a domain, do podcasts, etc. Not sure if I’m ready for that but I do appreciate the support. I also hung out with Kake, Gotnorhythm, Anton and many other Recon & GearFetish boys. And met a few that were NOT what their photos/profiles stated. I don’t get offended by this anymore, I just think it’s down right funny.

There were many demos. Lots of great musical performances but the big rumored entertainment was …. Get this…. Um.. Okay, how do I describe this….uh… Okay… they had these skyscraper dildo’s … and had a contest to see how many stories contestants could take. Of course, they couldn’t show it completely as that would illegal so they put up a very low transparent shower curtain . You were invited to use your imagination while watching the porn stars with their horribly corny Sex Faces. It was very hot and amusing. Video below.

While seeing friends and making new ones is always a lot of fun at these events, the most fun of the event for me was wearing rubber for 8 hours. In the direct sunlight, it was painfully hot… but then I just poured water inside the rubber and I was just fine.

It rain for a quick 20 minutes that day. Heavy drops of water that made a sound off my rubber. When it started, I put on a rubber hood and stood out in the middle of the street by myself…. dressed in full rubber… tongue out catching the heavy drops of rain… big smile. I was a wet and sweaty rubbery mess on the inside and outside, in the heavy rain, enjoying myself for the sexually deviant man I am.

LOL, me and my boy unknowingly made an appearance in the video below.

…. and MANY thanks from us and others to John Weiz aka RubbermanNYC for all his (and Larry’s) hard work into putting together such a fun event. You guys ROCK!
