Inside Leather History: A Fireside Chat

The Leather Archives and Museum, the LA&M Roadshow, and host Doug O’Keeffe invite you to join us at a very special Fireside Chat with Chuck Renslow at the LA&M, 6418 N. Greenview Avenue, Chicago, IL 60626 on Saturday, November 15, 2009, at 7:30pm. Doors will open at 7pm.

This program, the second in the series, seeks to capture the memories and experiences of our community leaders, while giving us the opportunity to ask them our questions. While these chats are provided at no cost as a community service, donations to The Leather Archives and Museum are always appreciated!

SIDENOTE: I went to a Fireside Chat with Mr. Marcus of the San Francisco Bay Area Reporter earlier this year. I know that a few of you are rolling your eyes at the idea of listening to some old dude talk.

I found the chat with Mr. Marcus to be historically enlightening. It was fascinating to hear about his journey as a leatherman. To hear how the Leather Scene has grown from small secret biker bars (imagine being 10x more closeted with your kink interests), to marching in Pride Parades… to the creation of IML.
