I wanted to point out the Leather Archives & Museum’s youtube page which has a great deal of historical and educational videos for viewing. This one below is particularly important to the Leather Community and explains what the Leather Archives & Museum is all about.
I find it amazing that so many people in the leather community who either live in Chicago or visit yearly for Events like IML or MIR have yet to visit the place. It’s an incredible experience that will open your eyes and show you the importance of protecting our history. It will also make you feel very grateful for those who have fought to keep our varied interests legal.
Admission is free to members, $5.00 to non-members.
Last admission to the exhibits is 30 minutes before closing time.
Access to the Archival Collections requires an appointment in advance.
You must be 18 years of age or older to enter the LA&M.
