Here’s our new Spidey, Andrew Garfield.
For those who didn’t hear, towards the beginnging of the year, the director of the last 3 Spiderman movies (Sam Raimi) and Toby McGuire were not interested in doing a 4th film and collectively found a way out. Since the last movie wasn’t all that great, Marvel & Sony decided to reboot the series in the style of the “ULTIMATE SPIDERMAN” comics which are much more edgy than the movies were. Think about how dark Venom was in the last movie… and you have a bit of a taste of where this could go.
Yeah, many are upset at Raimi and McGuire because nobody really wanted a reboot. I think they’re kind of being douchebags. But, rebooting of series does work (Batman, Star Trek). And there are lots of unused characters they can tap into before they bring back Doc Ock or the Goblin.
Now, if we could just get some news on the reboot of FANTASTIC FOUR! (LOL! I can just see some of you rolling your eyes at that one).
