Gay Domestic Violence

I’d like to point a somewhat recent blog entry of Porn Actor Spencer Reed’s Blog. He was involved in a Domestic Violence incident and shared his story. Typically, whenever I read a Porn Actor’s blog, it’s all about him and the sex he’s had. Reading this entry of Reed’s was rather different than what’s considered the norm of a Porn Actor.

I’m very impressed Spencer shared his experience.  Especially as one of the bigger names in Porn out there right now.  Rather risky in a way for his career.

Just goes to show you how people build up their own idea of who you and what you’re like in their minds… as well as the image a person portrays for people around him/her (including non-Porn “Actors”) to believe.  Then, one day, you see that there’s actually a person of substance behind the persona given or even portrayed. Myself included. (If you only knew what a Huge Dork I am in person.  Some of you do.)

I come from a family that’s seen Domestic Violence and Incest (I was 10). We have a family member that restarted her life, with child, from scratch thanks to family and a Domestic Violence recovery group into a very successful career and beautiful family.  She’s actually one of my Heros.

I wish Spencer the best as well as quick physical and emotional healing. Major Kudos to him for blogging about his experience in a respectable manner rather than keeping quiet about it.

If you’re in a Abusive Relationship…
