Here’s the 1st trailer from HBO’s new gay series “LOOKING” which has been filming in San Francisco. They were filming during Folsom Street Fair by the Mr S Leather booth where I was working. I doubt I made it into any of the filming but it was fun to watch.
Just a few short days after releasing the first look at their new gay-themed series “Looking,” HBO has debuted the first official trailer for their upcoming series on Thursday (Nov. 14).
The series, which stars Jonathan Groff (“Glee”) and Russell Tovey (the UK version of “Being Human”), centers on the lives of three gay friend living in San Francisco. The show has been dubbed the “gay ‘Girls,'” but this trailer seems to point away from that comparison.
Created by Andrew Haigh, the show seems more in line with the filmmaker’s intimate film “Weekend,” which followed a casual fling as it turned serious over the course of a long weekend. As the trailer hints, “Looking” seems poised to bring the same unapologetic look at sexuality to television.

“Looking” premieres Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10:30 p.m., following the “Girls” Season 3 premiere. ORIGINAL POST.
