Now it’s time for our big Mr Midwest Rubber Contest and Pantheon of Leather Weekend. It all kicks off on Friday with a big Welcome party. Everyone is welcome to attend all the events. Admission to the Rubber contest events are free, there are fees for the Pantheon events. You can save by registering for the entire Pantheon weekend package or purchase tickets to the individual events. Pantheon of Leather will have registration beginning at 7 pm Friday at Touché. Here’s the rest of the details……
Friday – WELCOME PARTY & ONYX CLUB NIGHT
As I mentioned, registration for Pantheon of Leather begins at 7 pm. The weekend’s parties kick off at 9 pm with our official Welcome Party. You can mix and mingle with our out of town guests, meet the judges and contestants for both the Mr Midwest Rubber and Mr & Ms Olympus contests and Pantheon’s “Basket Auctions” begin as well.
Later on we’ll turn the party duties over to the men of ONYX for their monthly Club Night. These guys throw one helluva bash at IML and MAL so it should be fun. Don’t forget their BLOTTO raffle for cash and prizes.
Saturday – BRUNCH, WORKSHOPS, FOOT FRIENDS, CONTESTS & GEAR PARTY
It’s going to be quite a day so you’ll definitely want to start it off at our Rubber Buddies Brunch. We’ll be serving up hotcakes off the grill with sausage & bacon from 10 am – 2pm. Chow down!
At 2pm Pantheon of Leather in conjunction with Chicago Hellfire Club will present some S&M workshops in the Club Room. Learn some new skills or improve on old ones, you know the CHC presentations are very informative and fun.
The Mr & Ms Olympus Leather Contest kicks off at 4 pm at the Chicago Eagle with a whopping 10 contestants vying for the titles. Back here at Touché the monthly Foot Friends party starts at 6pm in the Club Room.
Then grab a quick bite (check out T’s next door to the Eagle) before the 2008 Mr Midwest Rubber Contest starts at 10pm back here at Touché. We are proud to welcome back Mr International Rubber 2003 Rubberwilli as our MC for the evening. Judging this year’s contest will be Mr International Rubber 2008 BJ Turgeon, Mr International Rubber 1999 Thomas Smith, Mr Midwest Rubber 2006 Dan-the-Rubberman Rose, Craig “RubberPerv69” Rich from Chicago Rubbermen and Mr Chicago Leather 2008 Freddie Marshall.
Once we name the new Mr Midwest Rubber 2008, our GEAR FETISH Party gets into full swing. Remember to get yourself geared up for this party, with the crowd in town for Midwest Rubber & Pantheon, the Club Room should be quite festive and we will be enforcing a dress code.
Sunday – EYE OPENERS, BEER BUST & RUBBER ONLY FUNTIME
Hang on to your hats, there’s still plenty going on this Sunday. Pantheon of Leather will host their Community Service Awards program at the Leather Archives & Museum at 2pm. So, Touché will open at 11 am this week with Eye Opener specials and a free continental buffet to get you started right.
Our Sunday Beer Bust will be going all day with 50¢ drafts of Bud & Bud Light and it should be pick up nicely once the awards are over. Just in case you need more fuel, Chris will be serving up our Chicago Red Hots with all the trimmings till about 7pm.
For those rubbermen that need a little more fun to make it a perfect weekend, there will be a “rubber only” event beginning at 5pm in the Club Room. See me over the weekend for details and plan on joining this “last blast” for Mr Midwest Rubber 2008.
