its a sub escape suit. My boy has one. it does inflate.. they are fun 🙂
it does inflate, it’s actually a cold water survival suit…completely waterproof and designed to retain body heat for as long as possible while the wearer bobs long on top of the water until getting rescued by other semen, i mean seamen.

It looks to be an immersion suit, an inflatable suit which keeps you warm and afloat after your boat sinks/oil rig collapses. I’ve never seen this particular suit, but it looks mighty nifty. Search Google Images for “immersion suit”.
