Mr. International Rubber Announces Speakers for MIR 17
Speakers will be presenting classes during MIR weekend
CHICAGO (October 11, 2013) – Mr. International Rubber (MIR) is pleased to announce the speakers for education sessions at MIR 17, to be held November 8 -10, 2013.
• Rick Holte – Rick’s career in Kink began in 1995 when he started designing fetish gear under his own label “Love and Fire” while working as a production manager and performer for Bondage A Go-Go at Ground Zero nightclub in Minneapolis, MN. In 2011, Rick returned to San Francisco and began working with Serious Male Bondage.com under his screen name RankInSF. He can also be seen in many of their rubber bondage videos. That same year, he was entrusted with the stewardship of Rubber Men of San Francisco and has been a part of bringing that club from being local club to being a model for other fetish clubs around the country, producing events for the fetish community and promoting the local businesses that support the Kink Community.
• Trooper Long – Trooper, Great Lakes Boot Black 2008 and 2009, judged IML33 and was first runner-up at both IMBB 2009 and ICBB 2010. He is Pledge Master of ICON Detroit Leatherclub, member of Detroit Bondage Club and Chicago Hellfire (CHC). He is partnered with Andrew, another CHC Associate member. Trooper’s boy is named “black,” Canada’s 1st titleholder bootblack. Trooper has attended every MIR since 2006.
• Pup Snuggles – Pup Snuggles has been part of the leather community since IML 2006 and has avidly researched the leather lifestyle ever since. Snuggles is also founder of International Pups and Handlers, co-founder of Chicago Puppy Patrol, the previous President for Bloomington Kink, a photographer, graphic designer, website designer, massage therapist, and renaissance re-enactor. Pup Snuggles holds the following titles: Indiana Leather boy 2010 and Great Lakes Leather boy 2011.”
• Joey Alegrett – Joey has owned eight of his own tattoo and piercing studios at once to as well as, owning partnerships in five very different and varied bars and nightclubs. Presently he is working in Chicago at Uptown’s world famous Tattoo Factory and Royal Flesh in Chicago, spending summers in Provincetown, MA. Joey has been piercing and executing his trade in body modifications since 1990. Known as the celebrity piercer in the industry, his clients have included, just to name a few, Rhianna, Madonna, Fergie, Lady GaGa and many more.
MIR 17 will be returning the Hoover-Leppen Theatre at the Center on Halsted (CoH) in the heart of Chicago’s Boystown. The MIR Kink Market & Social, located in The Billie Jean King Recreation Center at the CoH, will be open Friday, November 8, Saturday, November 9 from Noon – 7pm and Sunday, November 10 from Noon – 5 pm. The Market is open to the public (18+). Admission is $5.00 per day or $10 for all three days.

Join us Sunday October 13, 2013 from 6:30pm to 10pm for our first BLUF Cigar Party!
Blue Havana has been known for years as the place to go for the gay community to enjoy the best cigars and pipes at the best prices, in a comfortable double lounge just off the Halsted district. As well as one of the largest humidors in the city, the welcoming staff has hosted parties for the gay and pansexual community for 7 years, including the IML Cigar Party.
For this after-hours event, the doors will be locked and no regular customers will be in the shop for our private, BLUF party. You can also bring your friends as well. Have a great time with your friends in a comfortable setting, with room for up to 75 people.
Cost: always free! But we encourage you to purchase something from the host establishment. Also coordinate with the group if you would like to bring your own alcohol or snacks.
Location: 856 W. Belmont Ave. Metered street parking is usually available, and there are very few spots available in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot, as long as you only come to the shop and nowhere else. It is also just a half block East of the Belmont Red Line stop.
Important: You must be 19 years of age or older, and you must have a valid state issued ID on you while in the shop.
BLUF membership is not required for this event but is encouraged.
Membership is Free.
Enforced dress code: Leather uniform, or military, fire, police, rubber uniform, other fetish wear and Leather encouraged, G-rated (store is video monitored and there are no curtains).
RSVP is highly recommended for this event.
