MAL 2008

I’ve been studying for the training of the new job which starts on Wednesday so I didn’t sit down to do a MAL 2008 review. I try to do it while it’s still fresh in my mind. Looking at the photos I and chicagogear took from the event help. Here’s some fun highlights

– The drive in with “chicagokink” went fast. The ride home is always slow though. No, we didn’t listen to showtunes the entire way. We talked, a lot, enjoying each other’s company. And his gassy ass.

ChicagoKink: “I’ve been saving them for youuu!”
Ruff: “What? For a full year?”

– Other than a psycho from FL trying to start a fist fight in front of the hotel front desk staff, there was absolutely no drama all weekend. It was an awesome weekend.

chainedpup got rowdy as usual but did not bite me or Ross this year. He did give one particular boy a very memorable MAL. I’m proud and thankful of them both.

– While I didn’t get to play with him, I met an incredibly hot, smart and funny boston boy (aka Tonio608) whose friendship I see growing with us into a long time friendship. We miss the little shit head. He looked great all bound up in rubber with the remote ten’s unit. Or getting zapped at the Mr S booth with a stun gun.

timmay628 and I wore our Fantastic Four costumes to the Gear Blast party where we kept yelling at each other “Damn, you are FANTASTIC!”. “No, YOU ARE!”.

-The Gear Blast Party was INCREDIBLE. I can’t say enough about this party. GREAT JOB, RubCovr! We all thank you for your time and effort into making the event happen.

Whtbraces lights up any room he’s in… and any hotel. It wouldn’t be MAL, IML, MIR or any event without him.

– Yes, you read it, Stun Guns. I got to try a Stun Gun at the Mr S booth. Well, actually Tonio608 got zapped while yelling “Don’t tase me bro!”. It was LOUD. Everybody in the Mr S area got quiet… then laughed. Then I got zapped. It hurt at first, but then I was like…. “okay, do it again!”.

– I played Pimp to plenty of friends over the weekend. They had fun. I myself only played twice. I was supposed to do a demo with Baltimorejock and CanadianRope at the Recon party but because I, like a dumbass, drank too much and ate poorly I ended up with a stomach that felt like it was in a tumble dryer. In the end, while I hated not going to support them, I felt like it should remain a SIR/pup demo. I felt like a 3rd wheel. It was good for them to do that demo alone. They had a blast. I’m proud of Baltimorejock. He’s come so far (when he’s not in chastity with the key in the possession of a 22 yr old! Hee hee!)

– Through RubCovr and ChicagoKink, I met two incredibly handsome biker boys that I have been keeping in touch with and hope to see later this year at MAL. They really stood out in my mind. WOOF. They make me want to buy a bike… tomorrow.

– We showed “That Gross Video” to a couple friends in our hotel room and video’d their reactions. Hilarious. Oh, and there’s naughty videos, too.

So, it was a very good MAL. There’s something to be said about going to these events and seeing friends from home.

Ruff to “Hottie”: “Get off me, we can have sex at home!”

A little over a year ago we wouldn’t see these guys but once a year and now it’s almost every week. It makes the ride home easier knowing this.

Our leather family has grown substantially in the last year with new friends that have asked us to be a part of their lives. Events like MAL remind me that life is good.
