CineKink: Chicago (November 18-19)

Founded in 2003, CineKink recognizes and encourages the positive depiction of sexuality and kink in film and television, most visibly through its annual film festival, CineKink NYC.

Featuring a specially-selected program of films and videos that celebrate and explore the wide diversity of sexuality, with offerings drawn from both Hollywood and beyond, works presented by CineKink range from documentary to drama, camp comedy to hot porn, mildly spicy to quite explicit — and everything in between.

In addition to screenings, the annual festival also includes a short film competition, audience choice awards, presentations, parties and a gala kick-off fundraiser, all followed by a national screening tour.

CineKink comes to Chicago November 18-19.

Weekend (2011) HD Movie Trailer

Let’s face it. 99% of the Gay movies put out there aren’t very good. Either they’re unbelievable plot lines or the material is held back because if the producers go “too far” with it, then the studio will find it risky and release it direct to DVD.

Fortunately, this movie, “WEEKEND”, is getting A LOT of good reviews and buzz.

On a Friday night after a drunken house party with his straight mates, Russell heads out to a gay club, alone and on the pull. Just before closing time he picks up Glen but what’s expected to be just a one-night stand becomes something else, something special. That weekend, in bars and in bedrooms, getting drunk and taking drugs, telling stories and having sex, the two men get to know each other. It is a brief encounter that will resonate throughout their lives. The Weekender is both an honest and unapologetic love story between two guys and a film about the universal struggle for an authentic life in all its forms. It is about the search for identity and the importance of making a passionate commitment to your life.
