June Bar Night
Happy Pride Month! We’ve got a bunch planned. Our bar night this month will be held on Saturday, June 22 at Mary’s Attic (5400 North Clark Street) starting at 10PM.
Rubbermen Join a Pride Float
Touche invited the Rubbermen to join them on their annual Pride float again this year (on Sunday June 30th)! Like last year, space is limited, so to ensure you get a spot, send us an email so we can give you the meetup time and location information.
Just purchased this shirt from NIKE’s #BETRUE collection to wear at Chicago Pride (and NYC Pride) this year. There’s a few other options to pick from as well.

JUNE 23 – Chicago Rubbermen Bar Night at Touche
Our Pride Month bar night is Saturday, June 23 at 11PM at Touché Chicago! Sounds like we’re getting a lot of out-of-towners for the weekend, too. (Here’s a map – on-street parking is pretty easy up that way…) We look forward to seeing you there!
JUNE 24 – Chicago Rubbermen in the Chicago Gay Pride Parade
You are invited to participate in the 2012 Chicago Gay Pride Parade! David Boyer of Touche Chicago has invited us to join them on their float as they celebrate the diversity of gay groups in Chicago, including the Chicago Rubbermen. If you are interested in joining us, send an email to chicagorubbermen@gmail.com and we’ll provide you with the information. Boyer will be providing the float with space for our banner and coolers – be sure the bring water and wear sunscreen! We hope to see you on Sunday, June 24 at 12PM! We’ve covered the cost of participation so all you have to do is join us for the fun! Following the parade there will be a beer bust and cookout at Touché Chicagoafterward. All are welcome to join either or both events.

Come down to Mr. S Leather on Pride Saturday and help us celebrate the 1 year anniversary of the Mr. S Locker Room. If the free beer and food doesn’t do it for you, maybe the sexy guys helping us out will entice you to come down. DJ Ken Vulsion/Honeysoundsystem will be spinning and yes, there will be drinking games again. Come on down and check out all our new gear including ES and Addicted and get that Pride outfit ready!

JULY 14 – Chicago Rubbermen 6th Anniversary Party
We are turning six this year! Come join us for a night of socializing and shiny rubber at Touché Chicago (it’s like we’re regulars now!) on Saturday, July 14 starting at 10:30 PM. Touche is offering drink specials for us that evening – We’ll be giving away cash, a gift certificate to Shel-don Leather here in Chicago, Illinois, and some great rubber gear from one of our very own rubbermen from over in Michigan. (Special shout out: Thanks for your donation, Bill!) **SPECIAL NOTE** If you live out of state, are unavailable on the 14th, or otherwise cannot join us, you can participate, too! Just send us an email to chicagorubbermen@gmail.combeginning with the words “I like rubber because…” and you’ll be entered to win a rubbery prize, too! JULY 20-22 – Mister Midwest Rubber
Work is already underway for this summer’s Mister Midwest Rubber contest, hosted each year by Touché bar. Save the date(s): Fun kicks off on Friday, July 20, contest on Saturday, July 21, and Beer Bust on Sunday, July 22! Interested in competing? YOU could be the next Mister Midwest Rubber! Rubber tip: You can tell who is wearing a rubber jock at the Pride Parade by the tell-tale sweat stains on their shorts 😉 Stay shiny, rubbermen!
